Plot:

In the closing days of World War II, riot and seige overcome a German Prisoner of War Camp in Northern England. Fearful of a mass escape attempt, the British Army sends an unorthodox Irish Captain to the camp, in hopes of discovering exactly what is going on. The Irishman at once comes into conflict with the head German prisoner, a U-Boat Commander Kreigsmarine Captain, and the two must match each others wits, knowing that only one will emerge victorious.
